Little Blessings From Big Hearts!

Isn’t it just wonderful when you are faced with a potential difficulty, and not just the solution comes to you easily, but something even better?

I was at this company Rockwool recently for a meeting, in Roermond, Netherlands, and had gone by bus. The office was in a bit of a secluded place, in an industrial zone. And after I finished the meeting, as I was walking to the bus stop, Google Maps told me that the next bus back is only after an hour. Apparently the bus is just hourly 🙁

And it was FREEZING!!! And sooo windy! I knew I couldn’t deal with waiting at the stop for an hour! Would be the most unpleasant experience ever. And there was nowhere else to go nearby, like a cafe or store or something. So I headed back to the warm reception lounge of Rockwool and decided to wait there. The reception staff welcomed me back, was more than happy to let me wait.

Not wanting to overstep my welcome, I hesitantly asked for a coffee to warm me up a bit, and the lady immediately sprang up to get me one. She also gave me a choice of the type of coffee, and at my request, got me a steaming cup of cappuccino. Not only that, her colleague also walked in then, and both of them wondered about the bus going every hour, as they thought it was every half an hour.

So they pored over different Dutch websites, and found me a bus that would leave in the next 15 minutes. So I could be warm for sometime, finish my lovely cuppa and reach the bus stop on time. Felt sooo taken care of 🙂

My FF thought* of the day: It’s the little things that make our life experiences. The little things that can avoid big uncomfortable situations. And when we’re grateful for the little blessings, and the people that make these blessings happen, we can feel happy every day, every moment. The ladies of Rockwool were angels to have helped me that day, even though they didn’t have to! I couldn’t do anything for them in return, and neither can you, to everyone who helps you. All you can do is pass it on: the message, the warmth, and the kindness, to someone who needs a blessing today. Be #PowerfullyYOU.

*FF = Full Full. The glass is not half full, it’s always full full: 1/2 with water, 1/2 with air, even though you can’t see the air. In short, there is always something good in everything.
